Among all the different types of fuel out there, why do we use Apple Wood?

We could use Oak, Hickory, Maple or something else, or we could use just plain old charcole. We choose to use Apple Wood because of a few different reasons. Heat: Apple burns at a higher BTU than other woods, meaning that we can maintain a more consistent heat. This helps create the flavors ideally found in great BBQ. Flavor: Apple lends a suttle sweetness to the smoke flavor of the food. The sweet smoke combined with the expertly blended rubs and sauces make for the perfect flavor combination. So why do we use Apple? Because it makes sense!
